A packed conference has discussed the local wages crisis and the impacts of poverty on children and on wellbeing in Weymouth and Portland.
The conference heard from Philip Marfleet about how poverty wages and rising prices affect people in W&P; from Prof Jane Millar about the effect on families and children; and from Dr Kambiz Boomla and Dr Anna Livingstone about impacts on health.
Eighty people attended the event on 28 September, agreeing policy proposals which have been presented to Dorset Council. WeyPAW will be monitoring the Council’s response. See our Rights and Remedies policy.
